Advance Meeting Information

The 112th Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of the East that will take place on April 27-28, 2018, at Guinston EPC, Airville, Pennsylvania.  Further details will be provided on the website as plans for the meeting are developed and finalized.

MEETING DATES/TIME:
Friday, April 27, 2018.  The business meeting will start at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018.   Friday includes the Business Meeting, Moderator’s Dinner, and Worship Service. The Worship Service includes an offering for the Seminarian Fund.

Saturday, April 28, 2018 – 8:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (approximate) and includes morning worship and the business meeting.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:  60 non-smoking Doubles/Kings Rooms have been set aside at the following hotel for the night of April 27, 2018. (Ten rooms are being held for Thursday, April 26, 2018 for anyone wanting to arrive early.) Please make hotel reservations early. There is a large venue at York College that weekend and hotels are already booked.

MEALS:

Meal Reservations.
Deadline for meal reservations is 5:00 p.m. on April 13, 2018.  Please respect the need to make reservations by this deadline so the host church can accommodate everyone.

 Everyone attending, who wishes to have dinner, breakfast, and/or lunch at the church, MUST make meal reservations in advance of the deadline.  The website for meal reservations will be disabled at 5:00 p.m. on April 13, 2018, and no further reservations will be taken.  Reservations cancelled after this date must be paid for to the church by the person making the reservation.  

On-Line Meal Registration.
The buffet style Moderator’s Dinner will consist of a garden salad, dinner roll, hot roast beef, Italian chicken, veggie ziti with white sauce (veggie/gluten free option), red roasted potatoes, vegetable medley, chocolate berry cups for dessert and iced tea.  Breakfast will be yogurt, granola, dried fruit, fresh fruit, muffins, sweet rolls, juice, coffee and hot tea. For Lunch, click one of two choices available. Option 1 is a turkey and provolone sandwich, piece of fruit, snack bag, bottle of water, and cookie.  Option 2 is a ham and American cheese sandwich, piece of fruit, snack bag, bottle of water, and cookie. Use “Continue Shopping” until you have selected all of the meals that you want.  {Note:  Don’t click on “Proceed to Checkout” until you have selected all your meals. The meal registrations are set up so that only one reservation per individual can be made at a time—do not try to reserve meals for more than one person at a time.  To make a reservation for meals, enter your name, church/organization, email address, etc. as requested, and click on the meal(s) (Add to Cart) you want.  Cash or checks will be accepted when you check in at the church for the meeting. On-line payment is not available.

Friday, April 27, 2018 – Dinner will be provided at Airville Fire Hall, 3576 Delta Road, Airville, PA
Moderator’s Dinner – $25.00 per person.  Buffet style hot roast beef, Italian chicken, veggie ziti with white sauce (veggie/gluten free option), red roasted potatoes, vegetable medley, rolls, chocolate berry cups for dessert and iced tea.

Saturday, April 28, 2018
Breakfast: $5.00 per person – Continental Breakfast, consisting of yogurt, granola, dried fruit, fresh fruit, muffins, sweet rolls, juice, coffee and tea.

Lunch:    $8.00 per person – 2 options available.
1.  Turkey and provolone sandwich, piece of fruit, snack bag, bottle of water, and cookie.
2. Ham and American cheese, piece of fruit, snack bag, bottle of water, and cookie.

AUDIO/VISUAL REQUIREMENTS.  Anyone making a presentation at the meeting and requiring audio/visual assistance, MUST contact Dan Barker at daniel.barker@hotmail.com  not later than Saturday, April 14, 2018, to work with him to set up.
